Grand Rapids, MI - The Grace Christian University Women's Tennis team opened their 2025 season with a 1-6 loss to Cornerstone University. Despite the defeat, the match was filled with competitive moments, including several closely contested three-set battles, particularly from the team's newcomers.

Two notable performance came at No. 4 and 5 singles, Kiana Nickerson and Madison Postma fought through a tough three-set matches, but ultimately fell short. While the overall result didn't go in Grace's favor, Coach Bushen expressed optimism, saying, "We lost some close matches, and there's a lot of potential here. This is a strong starting point for us, and we'll only get better." 

Grace's team showed promise in their first match of the season, and fans can look forward to more competitive action as the team builds momentum in the coming weeks.
