Wyoming - After a home win over Champion Christian College, the Tigers hosted the Welch College Flames on January 6, and the Boyce College Bulldogs on January 7 at the Aldrich Athletic Center. The Tigers came in 7-9 on the year and are really looking to build some momentum here in the second half of the season.
Grace vs Welch
The Tigers got off to a hot start in the first half lead by the scoring of Brayden Gable. The Tigers established an early lead and were able to take a 53-40 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Coming out in the second half Welch was able to cut the Tigers lead down to 6 before the Tigers were able to put the game away down the stretch and go on to win 95-86.
The Tigers finished with 4 guys in double figures, led by Brayden Gable who led all scoring with 23 points. The Tigers also dominated the offensive and defensive glass collecting 45 rebounds in the contest.
Grace vs Boyce
The Tigers got off to another hot start out the gate springing to an early 15-0 lead led by Aiden Burns and Brayden Gable. Boyce would battle back and work to cut the deficit to 11 headed into the locker room at the half.
Led by Aiden Burns, the Tigers would continue to flow on the offensive side of the ball while continuing a solid defensive effort. Boyce would close the gap to 6 in the last minute of the game, but the Tigers would not surrender the lead and went on to win 93-86.
The Tigers finished with 5 players in double figures. Aiden Burns (21), Keontae Richards, Brayden Gable, and Breylan McPhaul (13), and Brad Coleman (10).
With these two wins the Tigers extended the winning streak to three games and improved their record to 9-9 on the year. The Tigers next game is Wednesday, January 14 on the road against Kuyper College.
