Box Score 4 Grayson, KY - GBCVB traveled to Kentucky this weekend to play four games in two days, starting things off with a couple very tough match-ups at Kentucky Christian University. They would defeat Ohio University-Chillicothe in their first match 3-1, which was a very solid finish considering OUC had just taken the #1 team in the NCCAA, Kentucky Christian University, to five sets in the game prior. The Tigers would battle Kentucky Christian for three games in their final game of the night, but could not get over the hump, falling 14-25, 26-28, 24-26.
The Tigers then traveled to Louisville, KY, where they faced two more regional opponents in Boyce College and Alice Lloyd College. They would win both matches convincingly in straight sets to finish the weekend 3-1.
"Winning 3 out of 4 matches on the road, two of which were against Regional teams, was a great way to spend one of our last weekends of the regular season," commented Assistant Coach
Emily Brown. "Team cohesion is at an all-time high and it translated into excellent game-play on the court. The caliber of play we saw from our team puts us right on track as we head into our Post-Season."
They currently sit at 14-9 on the season heading into a match with Rochester College this Friday night.
