Wyoming, MI - The Grace women's basketball team fell to a very talented Kentucky Christian University team Friday afternoon in the regional semifinals, 68-54. They would trim an early double-digit deficit to 7 before the Knights would make another run to enter the halftime break with a 34-23 lead. They would extend their lead to 20 points in the third quarter and Grace would battle back multiple times but could never land within striking distance, resulting in the unfortunate setback.
Junior
McKenzie McCord led the Tigers with 22 points. Freshman
Baylee Draper made a valiant effort despite illness, scoring 17 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Sophomore
Jewel Ro rounded out the Tigers in double-figures with 11 points while dishing out a team-high 4 assists.
Senior
Kitty Yanik led the team with 2 steals in her final game of a storied 4-year career.
Grace finishes their season 16-9, one of the 5 best win percentages in school history.
