Box Score Wyoming, MI – The Lady Tigers faced a vastly improved Great Lakes Christian College women's basketball team Tuesday evening at the Aldrich Athletic Center. A great overall team effort and an outstanding performance by senior point guard McKenzie McCord would result in an 85-56 win when it was all said and done.
McCord dished out 17 assists, breaking Jodi DeVree's GBC single-game all-time record of 16 set back in 2007. She was very efficient in distributing the ball and scoring as well, shooting 6-9 from the floor for 16 points and only committing 1 turnover on the game. Sophomore Miranda Carlson led Grace with 17 points, followed by junior Jewel Ro who filled the stat sheet with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Freshman Megan George also continued her stellar play with 12 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Lady Tigers outrebounded the Crusaders an astounding 63-33.
Grace, now 7-12 on the season, returns to their home floor on Thursday night against Silver Lake College at 7:00 pm. They will then finish off the week at home with a rivalry game against NCCAA powerhouse Kentucky Christian University at 1:00 pm Saturday.
