Chicago, IL - The Tigers woke up early Saturday morning for a match-up with Roosevelt University (NAIA DII) at the brand new XS Tennis Complex in Chicago. The Lakers men's team would dominate and provide the Grace men's team with some valuable experience against a top-tier scholarship school to improve for the rest of the season.
Caleb Anderson would be the only Tiger to win a game in the singles flights, while Anderson and
Lake Serba also picked up a game in the 2nd doubles match-up. The Roosevelt women's team only had 3 players available, which would result in a defaulted match and a win for the Grace women.
Mikyala Reynolds,
Elenrae Befus, and
Katie France all still played matches, albeit just for fun and experience. All three were competitive against the top 3 players from Roosevelt in their exhibitions.
The Grace women will face the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles at Northpointe Christian High School Thursday at 4:45 pm in their only GR-area match this season. The men will not return to action until April 5, when they travel to Olivet College to face the NCAA DIII Comets.
