Lake Odessa, MI - The Grace men's basketball program is excited to announce their newest addition, 6'5" forward Joshua Campeau from Lakewood High School in Lake Odessa, MI. Josh is the son of Michelle and Jeffery Campeau and a brother to Liz (23), Sarah (22), Emily (16). Josh signed his National Letter of Intent in front of a packed media center at Lakewood High School on Wednesday night.
"Joshua is a great kid both on and off the court," commented Grace JV Head Coach Ryan Krombeen. "He comes from a fantastic family, and he will represent Grace extremely well. I am excited to see him in the Grace blue and white. He is a player that can step right in and give us serious minutes right away."
Josh had a stellar career for the Vikings of Lakewood High, playing three years for the varsity basketball team. Throughout his career, he earned the title of Team Captain, Most Valuable Player, and also received the coach's award. He has also participated in AAU basketball for Camp Darryl. Off the court, he was named a member of Lakewood's Circle of Excellence, as well as the Honor Roll.
Josh is a multi-sport athlete, participating in baseball this spring, as well as football in the past for the Vikings.
When asked why he chose Grace for his educational and athletic pursuit, Josh replied, "I saw it as an opportunity to grow in my faith while doing something I love."
Josh plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice at Grace. He will wear the #25 jersey for the team next season.
