Wyoming, MI – The Grace Christian University men's tennis program is excited to welcome their most recent signee, Jared Lowder from Byron Center, MI. Jared is the son of John and Melinda Lowder, and a brother to Mallory.
Jared was a member of the Byron Center High School Bulldogs' conference championship tennis team in 2018, playing in the 3rd doubles flight. He finished off a fantastic senior season with placement at Regionals and a bid to the MHSAA State Championships.
Also a fantastic student in high school with a 4.00 weighted GPA, Jared plans to study business management and finance at Grace.
"My dad is an alumni and I have been familiar with Grace ever since I was little," said Jared when asked why he chose Grace, also mentioning the benefit of a solid financial aid package to minimize costs.
Grace Head Coach Ty Jansma noted that Jared will be a great piece to the puzzle for a growing Grace tennis program that will start their 3rd season in program history in 2019-20.
"We are thrilled to welcome in Jared and his family to our tennis program," said Head Coach Ty Jansma. "He has a great chance to be a key contributor for us right away."
