The Grace Christian University Athletics Department immediately seeks a motivated and passionate individual for the position of Head Coach for their collegiate men's and women's tennis program after Head Coach Ty Jansma has made the difficult decision to step away after three years at the helm.
Jansma was instrumental in helping the program take shape back in 2018, and led the squad to their first ever match victories on both the men's and women's side in 2019. The 2020 teams worked hard throughout the winter to have a breakout season, but the devastating news of the COVID-19 put a halt on some great expectations for what was to come. Jansma offered the following words upon his departure.
"Having the opportunity to coach college tennis is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. The last three years were filled with incredible memories that will last a lifetime, and I loved watching our athletes flourish on and off the tennis court. I am particularly proud of how far we came in just three years. I could not have done it without the help of my supportive and talented assistant coach, Cory Jamieson. I will miss coaching our athletes, but know Grace will find a terrific coach to take over and continue to build on the foundation we have laid forth."
Interested in the opening, or know someone that may be a good fit to lead our student-athletes and continue to lead the program to new heights? Please view this job posting for more information on the Head Coach position, and contact Athletic Director Gary Bailey at gbailey@gracechristian.edu.
