Grand Rapids, MI – The Grace Christian University women's basketball team traveled across town to Aquinas College to close out the week last week against the NAIA Saints. Despite holding their opponent to 62 points, the Tigers could not get anything going offensively, shooting 12-57 from the floor and 3-20 from beyond the arc, resulting in a setback to sit them at 2 wins and 2 losses on the season.
Emily Libey and
Jada Reese provided the majority of the offense for the Tigers with 16 points and 10 points, respectively.
"Friday's game was frustrating," said Grace Head Coach
Ashley Xiong Vang. "We didn't shoot the way we normally would and just couldn't find our offensive groove we normally would have. Defensively we improved and I saw us get better. We have to figure out how to rebound, minimize second chance points, and get the ball moving on offense to win games and we fell short of that. We are looking forward to Monday's game against Bob Jones."
The Tigers return to their home floor tonight for a big NCCAA divisional game against Bob Jones University (SC) at 5:00 pm.
