Grace Christian University Men's and Women's Tennis program are excited to announce the hire of their new assistant coach, Mikyala Reynolds.  

Mikyala is no stranger to the program, as she was recruited and played for Grace in their first season for the women's program as the first ever high school recruit introduced in Grace history. She also contributed last season as the team connector and continues to stay up to date in the world of Grace Athletics.

She brings positivity, compassion, and grit to the program. Now coaching high school tennis and teaching full time, this gives her the opportunity to bring her passion and knowledge of tennis and compassionate heart to assist the growth of the Grace Tennis Program.

Coach Bushen is excited to have her on staff, and said, "Mikyala brings her heart, determination, and compassion to the team, and I am excited to have her as apart of our staff. I have known her for a long time, and am excited to coach with her." With the addition of Coach Reynolds things look bright for the program as they continue to build and develop and compete at a high level. 

Mikyala is excited to start working with the team, and had to say this, "I am looking forward to working alongside each student-athlete on the team this season and to continue to build the culture of this program. As coaches we hope to create a positive atmosphere where everyone can feel welcome, learn more about the game of tennis, and grow in their walk with Christ. It's an even bigger blessing that this is a full circle moment for me to have the opportunity to be an assistant coach at my alma mater and for my high school coach. This program is still growing each season and I love being able to see the progress. I know there are big things in store for both the Men's and Women's Tennis program at GCU and I'm glad to be a part of this." 

Grace Tennis begins practice in January with their 1st match on February 10th at Albion.
