Wyoming, MI - Back in January, Aaliyah Smith of Holland, MI signed with Grace Christian to play women's basketball. Recently, the 5'7" middle hitter has committed to also playing volleyball for the Tigers.
Aaliyah, daughter of Sophia Moore, played 3 years of varsity volleyball for Holland High School. She also participated in basketball and soccer, while being named Athlete of the Year. "We are so excited to have Aaliyah contribute in our front row as a middle hitter with her natural athleticism! We are so glad she chose Grace to pick her volleyball career back up and can't wait to start the 2025 season in a few months," says Coach Shultz.
Here is what Smith had to say on Grace: "It was an all of a sudden choice. My boyfriend (Clayton Roberts) and I talked about it because he went to GCU for 2 years and is going back for his last year. He said since I'm looking to deepen my faith and relationship with God and I want to go back to school and be involved in sports, Grace Christian University would be the perfect fit."
