Opening Week: Men's Basketball Season Preview

FULL SCHEDULE | TEAM ROSTER

Wyoming, MI
- The Grace Christian University Men's Basketball team is set to begin their 2026-27 season this Friday, October 23, as they host Bryant & Stratton College at the Aldrich Athletic Center. The Tigers are looking to improve on last year's 15-13 record and make another run at the NCCAA National Tournament.

Head Coach Ryan Krombeen enters his fifth season leading the Tigers, with a good mix of returners and newcomers making up this year's roster, including 6 returning players, 5 incoming transfers, and 4 incoming freshman.

"We could not be more excited for the team we have this year," said Head Coach Ryan Krombeen. "The blend of returners and newcomers have connected really well, and have been playing as one unit throughout the preseason. We have a tough schedule ahead, having scheduled two D1 games and four D2 games, as well as tough NCCAA competition."

The Tigers certainly have a difficult schedule ahead, highlighted by NCAA Division I matchups with Western Michigan University on November 25 and Eastern Michigan University on December 21. Grace will also face NCAA Division II opponents Wayne State, Ferris State, Davenport, and Hillsdale throughout the year.

In NCCAA play, the Tigers will see familiar opponents including Great Lakes Christian College, Kuyper College, Moody Bible, Maranatha Baptist, and Emmaus University. Grace will also host Alice Lloyd College on January 23 and make a trip out west in February for two games against West Coast Baptist College in California.

With six NCCAA Division II National Championships in program history, the Tigers hope to get back to the national stage this March.

"Our ability to run the floor and shoot the 3 will hopefully propel us to a chance at winning our 7th NCCAA II National Championship," added Krombeen.

Grace will tip off the season this Friday against Bryant & Stratton College at 7:30 PM at the Aldrich Athletic Center.
