A three sport standout at Rogers High School, Amber came to a GBC team that was successful and had great senior leadership. In her first season she established a new school record for rebounds in a season. That season against the National Runner-up team, she scored 26 points and pulled down 18 rebounds. She currently hold three of the top six spots in single season rebounds. Her sophomore year, the team won 17 games, the most of any womenâs team to that date and then won 18 games her senior year. Amberâs teams competed twice for regional titles falling both times.    Â
Amber set a school record for career points with 1,769 which currently ranks 4th all time.  Her career record for rebounds of 1,211 still stands as the all time mark. She is the only female to have over 1,000 points and 1,She still holds the record for most career field goals with 684.    Â
Other honors include, a four time All-Region selection, a two time All-American, and twice picked as an Academic All-American, a two time MVP if the GBC Classic. Amber was also selected to every All-Tournament Team in every tournament she played in her career (14). She was twice selected as the recipient of the Frank Vanderlaan for Female Athlete of the Year.    Â
Amber passed away suddenly on November 19, 2018. She will always be remembered as a great teammate, better friend and unselfish leader by those who played with and coached her. She is survived by her husband Jake and their six children.Â
