South Bend, IN - The Grace Bible women's soccer team started their season off with a bang Monday evening, defeating NAIA DII Holy Cross College on the road, 3-0.
An own goal would give the Tigers an early 1-0 lead before senior forward
Autumn Befus put in two more goals before the halftime buzzer to extend their lead to 3-0. Grace was able to hold this lead all the way until the finish, recording their first ever win against an NAIA school.  Sophomore

Haley Threatt saved 6 shots on goal to solidify her shutout.
"I am really happy with the way we played today," commented Grace Head Coach
Scott Teesdale. "Our defense was outstanding and I thought we moved the ball well, but we still have a lot of room for improvement."
The Tigers return to the field against Aquinas College at 5:00 pm on Wednesday at home.Â
