Grand Rapids, MI - The Grace women's soccer team would face their fourth NAIA team of the season Tuesday night, traveling across town to face the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles.  After a very hard fought and competitive game throughout, the Tigers fell short, 3-1.

The Golden Eagles were quickly able to put in a goal just three minutes into the game before Grace senior Autumn Befus weaved through three defenders for an equalizer at the six minute mark.  The game would remain tied until late in the half, when Cornerstone took the lead 2-1 off of a corner kick.  The Tigers made their best effort to close the gap in the second half but fell short, as Cornerstone posted one more goal in the final period to complete their 3-1 win.  Freshman goalkeeper Megan McFarland recorded 11 saves for Grace.

The Lady Tigers will return home Thursday afternoon, taking on Andrews University at 4:00 pm.
