Wyoming, MI – A couple quick three-point shots from Tigers sophomore
Miranda Carlson would keep them in the game for the first few minutes against Cornerstone University, but the Golden Eagles would eventually prove to be too much for the Tigers to handle, winning the game 96-47.
The Golden Eagles outrebounded the Tigers 45-26 and held Grace to just 28% shooting from the field.
"We started off slow and just could not get back in it," commented Head Coach
Rich Renzema. "They shot the ball better than they have all year and it was our worst outing."
Carlson was a bright spot for the Tigers, scoring a season-high 22 points and shooting 5-9 from beyond the 3-point arc. Senior
McKenzie McCord was the only other Tiger in double-figures with 10 points, also adding a team-high 5 assists.
Grace returns to their home floor this Saturday against Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN) at 1:00 pm. The game will be a special event on veteran's day, with military veterans and their immediate family receiving free admission and free popcorn and beverages throughout the game.
