Earlham's second half comeback dooms Tigers

Box Score Wyoming, MI – The Grace Tigers women's soccer team welcomed NCAA DIII Earlham College (IN) to Velting Field Tuesday afternoon.  The match turned out to be a very competitive one in the scorching weather that hit a high of 91 degrees.

Grace sophomore forward Brandy Weaver struck first midway through the first half, scoring on a perfectly placed assist from senior Erika Bayak.  The Tigers would hold the lead until the end of the half, but the Quakers would strike early in the second off of a corner kick to even things up.  The Quakers would strike twice more to put the Tigers away late in the second half, resulting in a 3-1 final.

The Tigers move to 3-3-1 on the season heading into a road trip this weekend that starts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where they will face Mount Mary University at 3:30 pm Friday.  Saturday they will make a stop in Rockford, Illinois, to face Rockford University at 3:00 pm.
