Box Score 2 Midland, MI – The men's JV and varsity basketball teams traveled to the middle of the state Wednesday evening to face the NCAA DII Northwood University Timberwolves. The JV team would come away with a 101-77 win to start the night off, led by sophomore
Mike Warren and freshman
Craig Whittaker. The varsity team suffered an 88-65 setback to the Timberwolves in the late game.
Shooting from the outside was not the issue for the Tigers, as they shot a 12-29 clip from beyond the arc. They struggled from within the arc, however, shooting a dismal 10-29 on two-point field goal attempts. Sophomore
Adam Kregel knocked down 5 of 7 threes for a team-high 15 points on the night. Kregel also led the Tigers with 6 rebounds, while senior
Joe Dekkenga topped the box score with 3 assists.
The Tigers JV, now 9-7 on the season, return to the floor tonight at Indiana Tech at 7:00 pm. The varsity, now 11-15, are back at it next Tuesday in Berrien Springs, MI, taking on Andrews University.
