Box Score Berrien Springs, MI – The Tigers found an answer to the Andrews University zone defense Tuesday night, coasting to an 80-61 win over the Cardinals on the road. Head Coach Gary Bailey was able to get everyone that dressed some quality playing time in the second half, as the Tigers built a comfortable lead that reached as high as 24 points.
Senior Adam Rayner scored a team-high 20 points on 9-12 shooting from the field. Junior Marcus Chandler came out of the gates on fire, knocking down 4-4 threes for 12 points in the first half, and finished with 15 points. Rayner also led the Tigers with 8 rebounds, as they outrebounded the Cardinals as a team 43-24. Junior Grant Garrison led the Tigers with 5 assists on the night, followed by Caleb Anderson, Keoante Blackamore, and Adam Kregel all with 4.
The Tigers improve to 12-15 on the season heading into an NCCAA match-up at Great Lakes Christian College next Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
