Box Score Wyoming, MI - The Andrews University Cardinals, currently ranked #15 in the USCAA DII, came to town Tuesday night to face the NCCAA DII #4 Grace Bible College Tigers. The Cardinals would remain within reach in the first half, but the Tigers would catch fire in the final period (9-13 3FG) to build a comfortable 30 point lead and coast to the 82-60 victory.
Head Coach Gary Bailey was able to get every player on his roster to record at least 10 minutes of playing time on the night. Sophomore Adam Kregel scored a team-high 20 points on his 20th birthday, ironically. Junior Ethan Kafila pitched in 14, while Adam Rayner, Brandon Winchester-Jones, and Joe Dekkenga had 12, 11, and 10, respectively. Rayner also pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds to complete his second straight double-double.
The Tigers, now 14-15 on the year, close out their regular season this Friday night at home against Wright State University-Lake Campus. Seniors Joe Dekkenga, Adam Rayner, and Montae Harris will be recognized on Senior Night in their final game at the Aldrich Athletic Center.
