Women's Basketball Releases 2019-20 Schedule

FULL 2019-2020 WBB SCHEDULE

Wyoming, MI – The Grace Christian University women's basketball team has released their official 2019-20 schedule, presenting a challenging bill of opponents to prepare their talented team for a strong finish in the NCCAA DII.

Some new opponents for the Tigers include games at Hope College (NCAA DIII) and Davenport University (NCAA DII), while they welcome in Lake Superior State University (NCAA DII) and Kalamazoo College (NCAA DIII) to the Aldrich Athletic Center for home games.  In all, the Tigers play 17 of their 31 regular season games against scholarship schools, and a couple possible NCAA DI exhibition games are in the works as well.

Head Coach C.B. Long spoke with excitement about what is in store for the team in 2019-20.

"We will certainly be challenged with this year's schedule, taking on tougher competition, compared to last year.  But I think our team is up to the challenge.  Finishing above .500 will certainly be a task in itself.  Doing so should put us in a comfortable position at the end of the year, with seeding and power ranking, ultimately driving us forward to a deep run."

The Tigers will face also some tough NCCAA DII competition in January, while also enjoying some time in the sun at the Johnson University South Classic.

"I like that we travel again to Orlando, FL over Christmas break, giving the ladies some time in the sun, but also it gives us a chance to play divisional foes and get a true test of how we will match up against them," added C.B.

Regional play will take place in Nashville, TN at the end of February, and if the Tigers qualify for the NCCAA DII National Tournament they will move on to Joplin, MO in mid-March.
