Women's Soccer releases 2021 schedule

The 2021 schedule is set for the Grace Christian University women's soccer team, with a much busier fall anticipated in comparison to last year's "COVID" season. The Tigers are coming off of a 6-2-2 season in 2020, their returning roster boasting three 2020 All-Americans in Amiah Lake, Jennie Sue Pilieci, and Alivia TerMeer.

The fall consists of a very good mix of games against NAIA (5), NCAA DIII/USCAA (4), and fellow NCCAA DII (8) opponents. It all starts Saturday, August 28th at Velting Field against Calumet College of St. Joseph – one of seven home games on the bill for the Tigers in 2021. They will travel their fair share of miles, with trips to Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, and Iowa. Postseason play first takes place at Boyce College in Louisville, KY at the Regional Tournament at the beginning of November. The winner of the regional tournament advances to NCCAA DII Nationals in Kissimmee, FL on November 18-21.

"I'm excited to get going with this season and actually have a full schedule with the maximum amount of games," commented Grace Head Coach Mike Riemersma. "After last year it will be nice to play games on a regular basis like we are used to. I think the schedule is a good mix for us as we continue to build the culture of our program. I'm curious to see what this group does this year and look forward to the growth of our team as the season progresses."
