Baseball Welcomes It's Largest Ever Transfer Recruiting Class

Wyoming, MI - The Grace Baseball program has been on an upward trajectory, growing in size and talent each year since its inception in the fall of 2021. This year sees 22 total newcomers in the recruiting class, 7 of whom are transferring in from other institutions. Here's an introduction on each of them:

Caden Hill, Grad Transfer, LHP - Caden is a graduate transfer coming out of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL. Caden had quite a college journey, originally attending San Diego Christian College out of high school, which then closed its doors, forcing Caden to find a new home. Caden is from Verrado HS in Surprise, AZ, and will serve as a verteran presence on an evolving pitching staff.

Breylan McPhaul, Sophomore, RHP - Breylan is coming to us from Jackson CC. Originally from Hudsonville, MI, Breylan is looking forward to staying local and pursuing a degree in Special Education while helping to add strength to Grace's pitching staff. Breylan threw 14.1 innings for Jackson last year, averaging 11.30 K's per 9 innings.

Ethan Edmondson, Junior, INF/OF - Ethan is transferring to Grace after spending two seasons with Delta College. Ethan hails from Manistee, MI, and is enrolling in Grace's new trade degree partnership with West Michigan Construction Institiute (WMCI).

Michael Massengill, Sophomore, RHP - Michael comes to us after taking a gap year. His freshman year was spent at the start-up Community Christian College, where he was their primary starting pitcher throughout the season. Michael grew up in Wyandotte, MI and attended Riverview Community High School.

Tommy Crowely, Sophomore, INF - Tommy spent his first collegiate season at Mid-Michigan College. Tommy found Grace while seeking a school with a strong Christian culture and a competitive baseball program. Tommy is originally from Stoney Creek HS in Rochester Hills, MI.

RJ Ostrom, Sophomore, INF - RJ attended The University of Olivet out of high school, and after suffering an injury decided to take a break from school while rehabbing and coaching his high school team. RJ comes to Grace as a corner infielder, and attended Waverly High School in Lansing, MI.

Brayden Moore, Sophomore, RHP - Brayden comes to us from The University of Olivet as well. Coming out of high school as a catcher, Brayden is finding success as a pitcher and will be making the transition solely to the mound for the Tigers. Moore attended Lansing Christian High School in Lansing, MI.

"This incoming class is very strong," says Coach Wolfe. "Not only do we have a lot of talent and strong culture-fit guys coming in, but this increase of transfer players will help give our team more veteran experience and a competitive spirit from within."
