Tigers prevail in NCCAA Top-5 match-up

Box Score Grayson, KY – The majority of Grace Bible College men's basketball seasons find them traveling to Kentucky Christian University's Super 8 Classic in the first half of the season, where the NCCAA DII competition level is always very high.  They would kick off this year's Super 8 Classic with a match-up against the host school and NCCAA #4 team – the Kentucky Christian University Knights.  For spectators, the top-5 NCCAA match-up would not disappoint.  In a battle that went to the very end, the Tigers prevailed 92-90 as the Knights' half court shot at the buzzer rimmed out.

The Knights led by five points at the halftime break and would extend their lead to eight with 8:46 remaining in the second half.  The Tigers kicked things into gear at this point, outscoring the Knights 21-6 in the next five minutes to take a seven point lead of their own.  Fouls and free throws would occupy the final minutes of the game, with the Tigers holding on to defeat the #4 Knights on the road.

Sophomore guard Brandon Winchester-Jones stood out for the Tigers, scoring a career-high 28 points and also dishing out a career-high 8 assists.  Junior Grant Garrison added 16 points, while sophomore Adam Kregel rounded out the Tigers in double-figures with 13 points.
