Wyoming, MI – The Grace Bible College men's basketball team returned to their home floor for the first time since October on Tuesday night, facing Madonna University (NAIA DII).  In a competitive game throughout, the Crusaders took down the Tigers in a game that saw multiple runs from each team, 79-70.

The Tigers started the game slow, not scoring a basket in the first 3:30 of the game.  They would continue to struggle in the first portion of the game, surrendering a 13-point advantage to the Crusaders with 5:00 remaining.  At this point, the Tigers found their groove and used some solid pressure defense and precise three-point shooting to storm back to trim Madonna's lead to 35-32 at the halftime break.

The first ten minutes of the second half were a struggle for the Tigers, and the Crusaders played their way to a 57-39 lead.  Grace would then turn it up once again and cut the lead all the way to 69-65 with just under four minutes remaining, possessing all the momentum.  With the opportunity to close in even more on the lead, the Tigers would turn the ball over on their next possession and allow four quick points from the Crusaders which would ultimately sink them in the nine-point setback.

"Tonight I will put this loss on the coaches," commented Grace Head Coach Gary Bailey.  "They did some things defensively that we were not ready for, and I made some poor substitution decisions.  We'll get back in the gym and get ready for two more tough home games this week."

Sophomore Brandon Winchester-Jones and junior Ethan Kafila led the Tigers with 16 points each.  Kafila pulled down a team-high 9 rebounds.  Junior Caleb Anderson dished out a team-high 4 assists.

The Tigers return to their home floor this Friday at 7:00 pm against Lawrence Tech, also members of the NAIA DII.
