Auburn Hills, MI – The Grace Bible College Tigers took to the same floor that Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Grant Hill, and Chauncey Billups once called home to face the Great Lakes Christian College Crusaders in an NCCAA Mid-East matchup. Right from the tip the Tigers were clicking on offense, resulting in a 67-31 halftime advantage. Head Coach
Gary Bailey was able to test out multiple different line-ups throughout the game, which resulted in a 126-70 final score when it was all said and done.
Junior center
Adam Rayner finished the game with 21 points on 7-8 shooting and 8 rebounds. Sophomore wing
Grant Garrison added 17 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds. Sophomore forward
Austin Jackson followed with a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards. Junior
Bernard Smith added a team-high 14 boards, leading a Tigers rebounding effort that pulled down 63 compared to the Crusaders' 22. Grace dished out 32 assists, led by freshman
Brandon Winchester-Jones' 6.
The team returned to the stands later on that night as the Detroit Pistons followed suit with a win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Tigers, now with 10 straight wins, return to the court this Friday in Louisville, KY, against Simmons College.
