Ankeny, Iowa – The Grace men's basketball team has arrived safely in Iowa for the 2017 NCCAA DII National Tournament at Faith Baptist Bible College. Monday brought about their first practice, and then the team closed out the night by hitting up the mall and catching a movie. Here is a glimpse of what the rest of their week will look like:
Tuesday – Banquet and Skills Challenge Night
After practicing in the morning, at 5:00 pm the team will head to the 2017 NCCAA DII Banquet and awards ceremony. All-Americans and the Pete Maravich Award will be announced as all 14 teams will gather together to enjoy dinner. The skills challenge will cap off the night at Faith Baptist.Â
Caleb Anderson will be participating in the dunk contest, while
Jared Bradford and
Adam Kregel will represent Grace in the 3-point shootout. Stay tuned to Twitter and Instagram for videos and updates from the night.
Wednesday – Service and Tournament Eve
A group of guys from the team will head out to participate in the NCCAA's Community Service Project to start off the day. This year, participants from each school will help run a free basketball clinic at a local middle school. When the group returns, the team will hit up a bowling alley for some friendly competition. The Tigers will then head to Faith Baptist for their final practice before Thursday's first round game.
Thursday – The Action Begins
The Tigers will face a former regional opponent in this year's West region champ Moody Bible Institute Thursday night at 8:00 pm CT. Listen to the game live with
