Tigers catch fire, win by 46 in first NCCAA game

Box Score Wyoming, MI - The Grace men's basketball team was able to extend their winning streak to three games after defeating Boyce College on Friday night by a score of 116-70. This was the Tigers' first NCCAA II game, and it was an important Mideast regional game. Grace Christian's win on Friday night was powered by a high-powered offense, dishing out 32 assists and knocking down 60% of their field goals.
 
Head Coach Gary Bailey was able to play everyone significant minutes and 15 Tigers were able to score in Friday's game, 6 finding themselves in double figures. The Tigers shot an excellent 19-37 from behind the 3-point line. The Tigers were also able to win the turnover battle, as they turned the ball over 10 times, but they were able to force 17 turnovers from Boyce.
 
The Tigers were led in scoring by senior Keoante Blackamore and junior Kierson Watts who each had 16 points on the night. Jarmichael Heard added 13 points to the Tigers' effort.
 
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday (11/12) at Spring Arbor University (7:30 P.M.). The Cougars of Spring Arbor won the NAIA II National Championship game in the 2018-2019 season, so this matchup will be a battle of two National Championship teams from the previous season.
