Box Score 2 The Grace Christian University men's basketball team spent this past week away from home, playing in four games (plus one exhibition) and completing school work virtually in Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. On the hardcourt, they took care of business, winning all four games to raise their W-L percentage to .500 on the year.
After defeating Appalachian Bible College and taking down Welch College twice, the Tigers capped things off with an impressive 95-86 victory Saturday at Campbellsville-Somerset, led by 30 points from
Kellum Bridgeforth and 26 from
Kierson Watts. Both Watts and Bridgeforth also added 11 rebounds each as the Tigers outrebounded Somerset 51-32 on the day.
"This was a great week for the team, not just because we won all four games, but because we saw tremendous growth in what we are trying to do," said Grace Head Coach
Gary Bailey. "The players and coaches are starting to understand what type of team we are. This team is made up of a lot of new parts and it has changed over the course of the season. The players have adapted to this crazy season and are playing really well right now. I'm excited to see the continued growth of this group."
Next up for the Tigers is a trip to Indiana to face Huntington University on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
