Four Grace athletes receive NCCAA national recognition

Minneapolis, MN – The NCCAA announced national award winners Tuesday evening at the National Awards banquet for both DII men's and women's basketball.

Zac Yorke received the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete award on the men's side, while junior Jessi Calizo and senior Julia Schultz received the honor for the women. Senior Bankeys Omari was named one of the top 10 players in the nation, as a second-team All-American. Yorke, a fifth-year senior, was also a nominee for the Pete Maravich Award.

The men's basketball team will continue their week at Nationals in Minnesota Wednesday night with the NCCAA Community Service project and a shoot around, followed by game one of action on Thursday night against #4 Crown College in the National Quarterfinal game.
