Xenia, OH - After spending last summer in Anchorage, Alaska as the pitching coach for the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks in the Alaska Baseball League, Coach Peets landed the head coaching job for the summer of 2025 with the Xenia Scouts, another Athletes in Action affiliate team in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. 

The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League is a high level summer league within the Midwest states hosting players from universities all across the country spanning multiple levels of college baseball. On the Scouts with Coach Peets this summer will also be Grace Christian's own Michael Bontrager (Sophomore, RHP). 

"I can't wait to get started coaching this summer with the Scouts," exclaimed Coach Peets. "This is a premier league and a great opportunity to learn more about the game, while spreading the gospel and developing young men from all around the country. This is the chance of a lifetime."

Athletes in Action is a faith based organization that hosts multiple teams in several leagues around the country. Developing Christian faith in their players is the primary goal, and often the AIA players will be encouraged to share their testimonies and the gospel message with other secular teams and players in the league.

Coach Wolfe played for the Xenia Scouts in the summer of 2016 and had this to say for Coach Peets: "This is going to be an amazing summer for Peets. Not only will gain invaluable experience as a coach, but every summer with Athletes in Action has the chance to be life-changing for both the players and coaches. Go Scouts!"
